Yes the foot massage scene was gay but it’s not gay just because Light made a noise during. It’s because they were enemies and they still cared for one another. Light still wiped L’s hair while saying very softly, “here, you’re still soaked” and L apologized to him genuinely and looked him in the eye and said “it’ll be lonely, won’t it? You and I will be parting ways soon.” Like that isn’t the most romantic tragedy- the most enemies to lovers thing that’s ever been said before ??? Basically calling Light out for being in love with him and calling himself out for being in love with light. They both knew that the rest of their life would be fucking boring without the other in it. There wasn’t another person around that could complete them like each other. The way they fucking looked at each other too, god Light looked genuinely sorry that L had to die for Kira oh god
